Marine Observation Network

By integrating Jiaozhou Bay Station, Yellow River Estuary Station, Muping Station, Yangtze Estuary Station, Yellow Sea Buoy Observation Network, East Sea Buoy Observation Network, and Tropical Western Pacific Subsurface Buoy Observation Network, the largest comprehensive observation network in the world spanning coastal regions, offshore areas and deep sea was built. As a result, the worldwide problem of deep sea observation data real-time transmission was solved, making real-time transmission of temperature, salinity, ocean current, and other subsurface buoy data in depth of 3,000-6,000 m possible. Numerical forecast products have been developed to serve climatic anomaly forecast, disaster prevention and reduction and forecast, national defense security early warning, marine economy development, and other aspects of marine environment security guarantee.
